The Butch Monologues is a contemporary collection of real-life stories exploring the female butch, trans masculine and gender rebel experience.
The project is a collaboration between several practitioners: Laura Bridgeman (hotpencil press), Julie McNamara (Vital Xposure) and the private members group, The Drakes.
In 2015, the company received Arts Council funding to tour The Butch Monologues collection. The contributors are based in the UK, the Caribbean, Europe, Australia, Asia and the US.
