For the first time on DVD, this disc features performance artist Johanna Went in her legendary club shows (1977-1987). Seminal, wild and raw, these performances were accompanied by live improvised music from some of LA's most adventurous players including z'ev, Mark & Brock Wheaton, Greg Burk, Kerry McBride and many others.
The DVD includes two videos of Johanna Went by Academy Award Winning director Shirley Clarke (The Box and Live at UCLA Studio One) Also included is a bonus audio CD of studio recordings including the entire Poshboy Records 1982 LP Hyena (Remixed and Re-mastered) and the songs from the first 1981 45 rpm single Slave Beyond the Grave originally released on Boyd Rice's Graybeat label. With audio commentary by Johanna Went and Mark Wheaton.
